Frequently asked questions

Is the story changed?

No. The text is reproduced complete and unaltered from the source edition named on each title. Personalization appears on the cover and on five pages at the front and back: the title page, dedication page, imprint, ownership page and closing page.

What can I personalize?

A recipient's name (on the cover and inside), a dedication, an occasion, and a sign-off. The preview shows exactly how each will print.

Can I buy one without a name on it?

Yes. Every title comes as a non-personalized edition too: the same book, without the name. Choose it on the product page.

What is the book physically?

A hardback bound in real book cloth, with the title stamped in gold foil on the spine, wearing a printed matte dust cover. Royal size, 6.14 by 9.21 inches, cream uncoated pages. The cloth texture, cream label and lettering you see on the dust cover are part of its printed design; the cloth and the foil are on the book beneath it.

Are the illustrations original?

Yes. Where a classic was first published with illustrations, the pictures are the original artist's, restored from an early edition. Nothing is redrawn or generated.

How long does it take?

Each book is printed in the United States when you order it. Production and delivery times are shown at checkout.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not yet. The launch is US only; Canada, the UK, Ireland, Europe and Australia are planned.

What if I made a spelling mistake?

Contact us straight away with your order number. If printing has not started we can correct it.

Is foil used on the cover?

Yes. Under the dust cover the book is bound in cloth, with the title stamped in real gold foil on the spine. The dust cover itself is printed, including its gold and the name.
